11. San Francisco

Catching up with Katharina on our first night at one of her favourite local restaurants called Zazie's
At the famous landmark of Lombard and Hyde
In front of a rather foggy Golden Gate Bridge

After working out at San Francisco CrossFit with coach for the day Diane Fu

Day 2 saw us going to the House of Air for 2 hours of basic trampolining training, something I had certainly never done before!

By the end of the session our coach was really happy that Svan could do "Big Hair" at the "House of Air"

After this we then went on a "little" bike ride across Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito for lunch before riding on to Tiburon to catch the ferry home.

Start of our run around Golden Gate Park on our last day in SF, suffice to say that my legs were complaining a bit after the day before!

SF is a great city and one that I look forward to visiting again in the future.  It is far more diverse and less glitzy than LA, and as long as you always have a jumper with you, for a Brit, the climate is far nicer. Allowing for the hills, it is way more accessible and has some great restaurants, a gorgeous park and I hear it has a cool music scene too.  The Golden Gate Bridge, even 74 years since it opened, is still amazing and strangely beautiful in an engineering kind of a way!
